Mahlaqa Shaheen Qureshi is NATIONAL BOARD-CERTIFIED DIPLOMAT OF ORIENTAL MEDICINE(NCCAOM) and Texas state licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist. She started her Health Care career by graduating as a Bachelor in Dental Surgery from de’-Montmorency College of Dentistry Pakistan and then specialized in Orthodontics from College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. Had been Practicing Dentistry, when in 1987 she developed a keen interest in Acupuncture, due to her husband’s long-standing migraine headache which did not respond to any western Medicine but was cured solely by Acupuncture treatment.
She learnt the skills of acupuncture and in 1988 began practice along with her practice of Dentistry. After immigrating to USA, she decided to pursue her passion for Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. She started her studies at The Texas Health and Science University in Austin and completed her Masters in the science of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in April 2017.
She Passed her Texas Medical Board exams and became a Licensed Acupuncturist who has started her good work by volunteering her skills at two Community Service Centers in Dallas.
